Middlesex's Youth and Senior Teams lose to Essex
Tue 13th May
Essex were too strong for the Middlesex Youth team which was without English internationals Luke Goddard and Andrew Johnston. However Eamon Kneafsey, the Youth Team Manager was full of praise for his side as six of the eight singles matches went to the 18th green.
The morning foursomes saw Sam Chapple and Steven Cronin gain Middlesex's only win. The afternoon singles produced several tight finishes and there were wins for David Ginn, Sufian Dhaduk and halfs for Sam Chapple and Scott Fallon.
The Middlesex Seniors once again were soundly beaten by Essex at Wanstead by 8pts to 2pts. Retired County Secretary, Andy Williams was the only winner with Norbet Gorry of Sudbury and the hard working Senior's Captain Bruce Hurley gained a half each.
