The final league match of the season for the 1st Team. With 3 players away in America on golfing scholarships, 1 on holiday and 2 working the team had a somewhat unfamiliar look. It consisted of Tommy King, Justin Phelps, Dean Fallon, Mitchell Hollis, Max McGrail, Boys Champion Liam Ainsworth, Gowland Salver winner Niall Keogh and gaining his 1st cap scratch golfer Kieron Dardis.

A.M Foursomes: Justin/Dean unbeaten so far this season soon found themselves 6 down after 8 but fought back with 3 birdies to finally lose 4/3. Tommy/Kieron had to play a go-for-it shot down the last which didn’t come off and lost 1down. Mitchell/Max sank a nice 4 footer on the last for a birdie to maintain their lead. Liam/Niall also lost down the last when Niall’s eagle putt lipped out.

P.M Singles: Tommy led out and was always in the lead closing the match off on the 17th. Justin lost the 5th and 6th which prove vital as he could not fight back enough and lost on the 17th. Max was a/s after 13th but was then hit with straight birdies to lose 3/2. Dean was always just behind and lost on the 17th. Mitch played well under par and won easily 5/4. Kieron battled away and birdied the last to win 1 up. Liam showed his skill and played the best shot into the17th to win his match. Niall also went down the last but was beaten by a birdie. Overall result lost 5 – 7. Season’s results won 2 and lost 2.
