Rochford Hundred, Sun 31st Jul
County Team v Essex.: Date. 31 July: Venue: Rochford Hundred.
The County team for this league match was Tommy King, Justin Phelps, Dean Fallon, Daniel Jeffries, Max McGrail, Sufian Dhaduk, Mitchell Hollis and Louis Dunn-Allen. Firstly many thanks to the players for giving up their Saturday to travel down for a practice round which proved invaluable as the fairways were running hard and fast and some greens difficult to hold even with their skills.
In the semi-finals of the Middlesex Sixes Sudbury beat Wyke Green 2/1 and Ruislip defeated West Middlesex by the same score.
The final will be played at Northwood on 11th September
The draw for the semi-finals of the Rowse Trophy has been made
Venue: Ashridge GC. Date: 9 July.
The MCGU team was Tommy King, Justin Phelps, Tony Ginn, Dean Fallon, Daniel Jeffries and Ross Dickson. With 11 counties playing and all 6 medal scores counting over 36 holes our ambition was to be middle table. Unfortunately even after a practice round on Friday matters did not go to plan - the scores in the morning round left us in last position. The scoring improved in the afternoon but only enough to climb one place up the table.
